Description
"Maximizing Experience and Christian Values through One-on-One Relationships"

Purpose Statment
To assist our young people in developing and attaining life goals, and dealing with social pressures through positive influences based upon Christ-centered principles.

Problem Statment
With today's society rapidly changing, our youth are exposed, each day, to the influences and pressures of a sinful world. For many young people, the most pervasive influence is no longer the Church, but rather schools which no longer support Christian values and the media that is more concerned about ratings and earnings. It is the responsibility of committed adults, in the Church today, to build up the Christian leaders of tomorrow.

Mission Statement
Our mission in the mentoring program is to have an adult mentor, living according to positive Christian values an principles, to commit him or herself to influence a mentee in the day-to-day decisions and issues that he or she baces. The mentor and the mentee will develop an influential relationship through mutual trust and respect. One-on-one meetings, outings and dialogues over personal experiences or shared resources (such as books, etc.) will foster this relationship, as well as, spiritual support through prayer and/or conversations over scriptures shared. This interaction should lead to the youth becoming able to develop a vision for their lives. The love element, in which the mentor takes interest in the mentees' life events, will also help in binding this relationship. The relationship is an opportunity for reciprocal learning for both mentor and mentee..
