Did you know that you could be the only demonstration of love in this world someone will ever see or receive? Just imagine how your acts of kindness or touch could very well be a turning point in their lives to walk in a new direction. The way we (the church) demonstrate our love for Christ, significantly distinguishes us from the world. Matt. 22:37-39 (KJV) 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38.This is the first and greatest commandment. 39.And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Loving others is not always easy because it requires us to extend ourselves beyond our comfort zones; love is merciful, forgiving, kind and sacrificial. It is risky business and many times leaves us feeling vulnerable, uncomfortable and we do it without thought or reason. Christ served as the perfect example when He demonstrated His “dirty love” for us by dying on the cross; so how much more are we? We have a “world call” to show love; our mission is to declare the gospel and to proclaim Jesus Christ. Allow God to expand your capacity to love so that you and others can start to live again as you continue advancing the Kingdom of God! It's the only way! 0 Comments | Post a Comment | Archived Blogs
