Prayer = Strength

Seeking God in prayer is the avenue by which we enter into a greater level of intimacy with Him. When we cast our cares on the Lord and allow Him into our secret places, He is able to speak to our situation and lift us in the midst of the circumstances that weigh us down. Prayer strengthens and helps us to persevere through the pressures of life. It keeps us humble and dependent upon God, as we give Him our fears, insecurities, and the issues that burden us.

Prayer also affords us the privilege of petitioning God with our most heartfelt desires. It is the key that allows Him to operate in our affairs and assures us of His presence in our lives. As we continue in prayer, He comforts us and gives us the peace that passes all understanding. When we inquire of the Lord, He provides insight for our everyday life and directs our paths. As we place our trust in our Heavenly Father and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, our prayers will produce a rewarding harvest that surpasses our greatest expectations!

The "Prayer Zone"

When we spend uninterrupted time in prayer with God, it allows us to fellowship with Him on a higher level. As we enter into the “prayer zone,” He speaks to us from a deeper place. Talking with God is powerful and the results are phenomenal, especially when we become more consistent with it. We allow Him to rearrange our thought patterns and impart within us revelations not only for our lives but also giving us strategies to help advance His Kingdom. He saturates our intelligence with His and enlightens our understanding. We then get the right perspective in winning souls for His Kingdom.

During times of prayer, God will strengthen our resolve and increase us in wisdom both naturally and spiritually. He provides guidance and direction so that we become smarter and more discerning of the enemy’s tricks. Continue to seek the Lord in prayer for every situation; there’s no one greater! He’s always available and knows exactly what to do and He gives excellent counsel. You can trust Him and be assured that He is working for you a far exceedingly greater plan in your life. Pray without ceasing!

Prayer is our Defense

In order for us to confront the trying times in which we live, we must incorporate prayer as our
defense against the fiery darts and attacks of the enemy. Jesus summons us to come out of our
comfort zones by challenging us to pray at all times despite our conditions or circumstances. As we entreat the Lord and make our requests known to Him, His Spirit intercedes for us and gives us peace during the tests and trials of life. When we cast our cares on Jesus and cultivate a consistent prayer life, we are preserved and enabled to endure the storms and tribulations that we experience.

Prayer provides the ammunition we need for spiritual warfare. It equips us so we can withstand the strategies and deception of the enemy. As we develop a steadfast prayer life, we are empowered for battle and prepared for any crisis we encounter. Instead of being fearful and intimidated, we are fortified against difficulties. James 5:16 says “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Investing in prayer will secure us and allow us to see God’s glory manifested in our lives! ~ Bishop George & Lady Mary Searight

Prayer is our Weapon

In a world that is often turbulent and unpredictable, prayer is our indispensable weapon for the
challenges we face. It is the source and the main ingredient to our stability. Throughout the Word, Jesus admonishes us to pray without ceasing and to intercede on behalf of our brothers and sisters. Persistent prayer sustains us and causes healing and restoration to come forth. While oftentimes due to the daily challenges of life, we may not be surrounded by the perfect atmosphere or necessarily have the right words to say, yet God just wants us to talk to Him continually.

As we submit ourselves to a life of prayer, sharing with our Heavenly Father our most intimate struggles, secrets, petitions and desires, we give Him permission to work on our behalf. It is the weapon we use to combat every trick, scheme and plot of the enemy. It is our power source to tread upon scorpions and serpents heads! It is also during times of prayer, that it provides us the opportunity to bestow our adoration, affections and praise for His loving-kindness; that place where we can be refreshed, renewed and restored from the challenges of this world, and receive direction from God to move forward. Our commitment to prayer will yield extraordinary results, far beyond what we can ask or imagine!

Sowing & Reaping

Your life is so valuable to God that He sets you in places to bless others, and based on your living, someone else will embrace their destiny for life. Sowing and reaping is the law that governs your life and no matter what goes on good or bad, you are still required to sow.  He invested in you so that it can be worked by you to benefit others and God will judge you on your increase. There are times when God instructs us to take risks in our sowing with no guarantees it will always come out right, but do it anyhow. You send it out for the purposes of it reaching a destination.

So ‘seize the day’, grab hold of the opportunities and live life in a meaningful way; fulfilling your purpose. Don’t let distractions hinder you from sowing or else you will not see a fulfillment. The enemy knows you’re almost there and that’s when he sends the most difficult trials to discourage you so you will quit. Today we encourage you to continue excelling in your sowing of talents, gifts, time and finances. He’s going to take the struggle out of your journey and you’re going to be at peace. Don’t stop now… you are closer to your fulfillment of destiny than you are of turning back. Abundance awaits!
