Seeking God in prayer is the avenue by which we enter into a greater level of intimacy with Him. When we cast our cares on the Lord and allow Him into our secret places, He is able to speak to our situation and lift us in the midst of the circumstances that weigh us down. Prayer strengthens and helps us to persevere through the pressures of life. It keeps us humble and dependent upon God, as we give Him our fears, insecurities, and the issues that burden us.
Prayer also affords us the privilege of petitioning God with our most heartfelt desires. It is the key that allows Him to operate in our affairs and assures us of His presence in our lives. As we continue in prayer, He comforts us and gives us the peace that passes all understanding. When we inquire of the Lord, He provides insight for our everyday life and directs our paths.
